I've removed links to old posts that are no longer relevant to the core bstpierre.org mission. The articles should still exist here somewhere if you've arrived by a link from a search engine or external site.

(21 May, 2002) Richard Stallman doesn't know where the line is. I'm not even sure he knows the line exists. Software should be free, he says. "We have no non-free systems or applications on [our systems] now, and our principles say we must keep it that way."
(05 Apr, 2002) This is a small collection of articles I wrote about CityDesk while I was actively using it. I'm no longer a CityDesk user, but these articles are still here since I occasionally get a few Google hits from them (so someone must be interested...).
(20 Mar, 2002) About once a week or so, I'll click a link on slashdot -- either on the front page or in one of the comments -- and find that I have been blocked.
How do I respond to this? I simply go to Google!
